Fiddlehead Ferns

These look pretty, I’ve got to admit the design is stunning, but they taste like the bastard offspring of asparagus and green beans.  I blanched them, then threw them in the frying pan with butter and salt.  If butter and salt don’t help, nothing will.
Still, I’m willing to learn.  What do you do with your fiddlehead ferns?

Yeah, if butter and salt don't make them taste good to you, maybe you should just put them in a vase to appreciate their novel beauty.
I eat them just because they are unique and can only get them for a short time. Honestly, not so much for the taste!

I wonder--how about stir-frying them with evoo and then sprinkling them with balsamic? Maybe?
