In addition to my own photo, I’ve included one I got off the internet. The photo I took was blurry, I think because I was shaking a little from being inside this museum. It was a unique experience, to say the least. If you’re in the neighborhood, drop by!
The man whose face received bio-product was Benjamin Butler, a unpopular Union officer (was there any other kind down south?). Butler was not particularly well-loved on either side of the Mason-Dixon line, but the thing that got his visage in the crapper this time was declaring that New Orleans women who treated Union soldiers disrespectfully would be treated as prostitutes. Hey, now, Ben, that’s a little extreme, don’t you think?
